#10 Charlie Ogburn

           Height: 6'1"

    Weight: 150 lbs.

    Position: F

    Year at PRUMC: 3rd

    Nickname: CHO

    Hometown: Atlanta, GA

BIO: Ogburn, along with Grant Bailey, was the driving force behind the split of last year's Thundercats into this year's two junior teams, the X-Blades and Team America...He and Bailey are the founding fathers of the X-Blades, and needless to say, Ogburn is a team captain for the 2006 campaign...A member of the Thundercats' "Dream Team" last season as a forward but took a figurative backseat on the court to superstars Hagan Ramsey, Taylor Howard, and Brian Locklear...Previously, Ogburn had played a two-year stint in the prestigious NYO League...He apprenticed under the absolute best during his short tenure at NYO: he played alongside PRUMC legend and Hall-of-Famer Daniel Fenton (last year's PRUMC Heisman winner) and I.S. Dunklin on the 2002-03 Celtics, and he starred with current PRUMC youth group team criminal Austin Clack on the 2003-04 Magic, the team which upset the mighty Hagan Ramsey-led Hoosiers during the 2004 playoffs...Before NYO, played a transitional year at PPC after having dominated the NUMC League for six consecutive seasons...Reunites with perennial NUMC teammate Ed Moak this year on the X-Blades, reforging a dynamite duo...Enjoys visiting Detroit, rapping like his idol Vanilla Ice, and attending birthday parties at Sparkles.

SCOUTING REPORT: Ogburn is a highly versatile player blessed with a reasonable amount of talent who has never been truly able to take his individual game to the superstar level...Has been moved back and forth from inside to outside both on offense and on defense and hasn't yet found a permanent home...Offensive game is highly polished, with a substantial arsenal of lethal post moves, decent handles, and the ability to knock down the 3 with a man in his face...Streaky but unreliable both from beyond the arc and at the line...Not an outstanding athlete but has a noticeably high vertical leap...An intimidating defender who can send a ball back into the shooter's face at any given moment...When he gets angry, he can be very tough on the glass as well...A dangerous weapon if used properly...His talents will likely be better served by his inside role on the X-Blades this year.
